“The fall of the new - the resurrection of the old”, Assemblage, 2020
The diptych “The fall of the new - the resurrection of the old” was created following Avraham Ofek's mural "Israel, a shattered dream" at Haifa University (1984-1988).
The diptych refers to the title from a contemporary and topical place.
Through familiar symbols and images, the works present an interpretation of the events of the period we are experiencing today (2020) and mainly refer to the element of fracture that appears in both Ofek's works and today's reality.
